LET IT SNOW

Well well well:)
First off, congrats to Dusty and Carley! Bring a cardboard cut out of me to your wedding;)
This week went splendid. We started it off with a huge snow storm.. more of a blizzard. We got just over 3 feet of snow.. to add to our snow we already had haha.. Basically the whole city shut down when it happened because they didn't have enough "snow plows" (they use farm tractors here). We couldn't go knocking in the snow because literally nobody with a brain would open their door. So we traveled around the city looking for people who were stuck and shoveled them out. We even had to shovel our selves out of the snow... 3 times hahaha. It was deep enough that our Silverado couldn't drive because the snow was too high.. really funny. AND THEN. the next day it rained all day and half the snow was melted... Weird place.

Our investigators are GRRRRREEAT!! Two investigators bore testimonies of the gospel and CRIED! It was awesome. We went over the stop smoking program with one investigator and she is quitting tomorrow:) They both came to church this week as well making 5 and 3 times:) We are so excited. It will work too. Our two other investigators didn't come to church this week due to one of them having a baby. BUT we found 3 new investigators this week! One is from Germany, who we are teaching WITH her husband again tonight:) and We met a new family as well:) They are a young family with a 2.5 year old and a 9 month old. The father is a business man and he actually is helping us with some of the stuff we use like facebook and the pass a-long cards. He is giving us advice on how to make them better! It was cool. So yeah this week was pretty amazing:)

The bad news.. Elder Darche, just got transfered.. :( he is going to be in another companionship in Bathurst:( So I only have one comp again. We also got another new car.. A 2015 Chevy Equinox to go with the 2014 Silverado. we're spoiled.. ;)

At the Christmas zone conference we watched Meet the Mormons. Watch it. I almost cried like 4 or 5 times. It's really good whether you are churchy or not. AND we did a white elephant and I got a stuffed animal cow. I named him "Mooreese" like Morice from Madagascar "Put your hands in the air Morice!" Anyway, he is Mooreese the Sainte vache or holy cow.

Love you all! Check out the snow!

Speakin' Shiak

Salut mes enfants,

This week was splendid. First things first, I am now in a Trio. I am training Elder Portellano from France and also Elder Darche from Quebec. Neato mosquito eh? its gonna be great.

This week went absolutely great. One of our investigators has come to church 3 times already! and her mom has come 2 times:) The mom invited her other daughter to come with her boyfriend and they came this week as well! We will be meeting with them this week to teach them:) Needless to say we are super excited.
Funny story... while knocking the other day we had to walk up this super steep hill and on our way back down.... all three of us slipped hahahah within 30 seconds.. it was awesome. We met a lady from Germany this week as well! and we will be visiting her this week.. Really Bathurst is a tiny melting pot... I've met someone of about every language... Even Arabic.

We had our christmas dinner as a branch this week as well... IT went SO WELL. the food was decent... but there was as many non members there as members! We had about 50 people there, all of our investigators came and tons of members brought friends that we were able to talk to.

Now i want to speak a little Shiak. Its french and english mixed... and everyone speaks it here haha

Comment ca goes it --- hows it goin
Crosser la road -- cross the road
baker un cake -- bake a cake
ca hang? -- hows it hangin
casher my check -- cash my check

a few phrases i have heard this week.... my french companions can't understand them hahaha. Love you all merry christmas eat your veggies
I got the package... thats an awesome jacket:) thank you thank you it was just in time for 3 snow storms hahaha. just for clarification.....

Merry christmas to you all love you guys like crazy:) P.S. I'm training 2 missionaries at the same time. how cool is that. There was a storm this week that it snowed only like a foot and a half.. but it was super windy so all the snow got blown into like one place so we had to like swim in snow to get to a few doors.. it was weird hahaha.
love you all! merry Xmas!

Do You Wanna Teach A Snowman?

Heyo everybody,

This week was a roller coaster. It was a really fun one though, even better than lagoon. So we have 6 investigators... WOO WOO! which is nuts because just a few weeks ago... 0.

So, the Bathurst area is still really wierd and confusing because sometimes you speak english... and others french and sometimes you speak both in the same conversation hahaha..

Fun stuff.... But lots of funny experiences. We had zone conference this week and we got to make the 3 hour voyage all the way down to Moncton. We listened to a lot of motab. It was great. I would have never thought ever in my life that you can get just absolutely amped by a choir but you can. especially the song, "Call of the Champions." It's the Bathurst district theme song. So the neat thing about this drive is that there was this insane fog, like can't see farther than 10 feet in front of the truck fog. This is dangerous stuff. Canada isn't full of big cities everywhere, it's just trees and moose. Literally. And if you hit a moose your entire car/truck/trailer/camper/tank is crushed. LITERALLY. I saw a camper that hit a moose and it looked like an explosion on the side of the road... the moose was dead but he didn't explode he just was kind of there next to the explosion. So yeah that was really sketchy driving through woods not knowing if there was a 2000 lb moose in front of you.

Another day(Saturday) we went up to a place called Belledune. It's basically a highway with houses on the side. We knocked all day with no luck and the last house we knocked (of course) was this guy who works in Labrador ( just north and just snow). He talked to us for about a half hour about how he has already read the Book of Mormon and all this stuff. He wasn't interested at all.  But then he offered us a ride back to our truck a few miles back which was weird and awesome. Later that night we knocked into 2 guys: Father and son. The father just lost his wife last week (71 years old) and the son is like 40ish. They let us in and talked about the catholic beliefs for 15 minutes and then something just sort of switched. We gave them really simplified versions and pieces of each of the 3 lessons and they became super open and they agreed with ever single principle. It was amazing. So we will be seeing them Tomorrow:)

NOW, something great. One of our investigators, came to church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have taught her for just a week and she came! She brought her 10 year old son and the branch just did incredible. They were talking to her and including her the whole time it was amazing. That is the first investigator that the branch has had attend church in months!!!! WOOOOO. Yeah we are stoked about that.

Matthew 10:16
Christ when he is talking to the apostles about sending them off to work... pretty cool, he didn't say go and you will be successful and baptize 9,204,892 people.

"Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves"

Je vous aime tous! passez un bonne semain! oh yeah.. forgot to take pics this week cuz it's cold so here is an emailing selfie. Don't mind the clothes, we didn't have time to change out of our service stuff.

When in Canada...do as the French do!

Bonjour ma famille et mes amies!

Well. This week was just a good one, is all I can say... just incredible. It went really quick too. It like feels like just one day. To start it off my new comp is Elder Portellano and he is from Marseilles in France. He is very stylish hahaha. He is super cool. He had seen snow once in his life until he came here and now it's every day hahahaha.

So Thursday we woke up at 5:00 AM to go pick up all the new missionaries in Moncton at 9:00. The Bathurst District recieved 3, all native French. One from Quebec (Elder Darche) one from Belgium (Elder Snickers) and France (Elder Portellano) Elder Darche speaks English and French but the others just French. It's awesome. Elder Snickers looks like a movie star and dresses like one too and Elder Portellano is the fashion king and there will be a pic of him here... Super cool guys:)

So we got another foot of snow here:) YAY WINTER. Elder Portellano and I drive a 2014 Chevy Silverado *vroom vroooooom* It's a beast. I forgot our new address though...
Cool experience happened Friday... So in the morning I trained Elder Portellano on the importance of talking to literally everyone, at the store while you're shopping, walking in between houses and all that... and that night he talked to the cashier who is now a new investigator! and progressing! We met with him Saturday, Sunday and now we will be meeting tomorrow as well! He is super cool, from the Congo and speaks the coolest sounding French in the world. So needless to say I am proud of (Elder Portellano). Also, the other French elders just left me a t-shirt that is handed down through the ages.. It has names, dates and all the names of the missionaries.

This week has been great, really cold but super fun. We have found a couple people we are teaching and we just cleaned the Baptismal Font yesterday to get everyone ready! Just to put in perspective how long its been since there has been a baptism here.... there was 3 spiders and all their webs :) so the font is ready and so are the investigators! We will be inviting the guy from the Congo, tomorrow so we will see how it goes:) My scriptures for ya today are in Jacob 6. It talks about the vineyard and the servant and the master working to bring forth good fruit. Eventually all the trees go bad and bring forth bad fruit and in Vrs 48 the servant realized that it was because the branches grew faster than the roots. AKA the trees didn't have a strong foundation. You can't expect anything to last if you don't build it on top of something that'll last! love you all have a great week because I know that I will!
 love,

Transfer - Hey I'm Training with a Dart!

Well the news came in at about 9:03 yesterday. I am transferred. to a different appartment in Bathurst hahaha. So we are getting 3 new missionaries in our district! We will now have 4 elders in Bathurst and I will be TRAINING!!!!! My first child:) <3 I don't know where he is from as of now.. but its either France, Belgium or Quebec. I don't know my new address yet but if you already sent stuff its fine. Elder Fortier can give me the mail we will see each other like 5 times a week. So Funny thing for this week. Elder Colette is our new District leader. HE WENT TO DAVIS HIGH hahahahahahahahaha. He graduated in 2013. Funny eh?

Both of our investigators dropped us this week, one because he will be too busy with work, coaching wrestling, and now commentating hockey games.. :( but he wants us to go on bike rides with him and go to wrestling practices and help out so maybe when hockey season is over he will become an investigator again who knows.

Saturday we had something interesting happen. So we give out these mormon.org cards to lots of people and they have our number on them and people will call us if they need help with anything.. SO we got a random call from a guy I met on a road in downtown Bathurst. He is an atheist but for some reason he loves us. So he called us to help him clean his gutters on his house which took like 30 minutes and they he bought me and Elder Fortier lobsters. He fed us flippin lobsters! they were so good. And he told us that if we ever run out of food or if we are in the area to come over and eat dinner with him. Pretty neato.

This week we will be volunteering for the local TV provider business. We may be camera men for an hour. How cool would that be?  Also, we have been told that the local high schools need some basketball coaches to help out with the team. We are thinking about helping them out too even though I have played about 0 years of basketball.

Well well, this week it snowed. Yep I really am in Canada. We have about a foot of snow as of this morning and we lost power in Beresford (where we live) The storms here are phenomenal. We were up in Pointe Verte during it which is an ocean side french village... the waves where just massive and snow was stinging our faces because it was super windy. Nobody opens the door when its cold hahaha they just wave at you.. its funny. We also met a guy up there who spoke to us in English until he found out we were missionaries and then was like, I dont speak english. So we spoke French and then he was embarrassed hahaha...

A really cool thing that happened this week... I have been looking for these two guys from France who were in the area book. They are soccer players from France.. So 6 weeks went by unable to make contact and just a few days ago we knocked on one of their houses! His wife and kids answered and told us to come back but let them know so they can get the other guy to be there too! YAY.

So Canada is fun. Super cold - yes and I have lots of pictures. Enjoy. love you all

Fall into the Great North

Salut mes amis,

This week we had exchanges with Tracadie again.. Elder Woodbury, a Georgian with the most southern english french accent I'll ever hear, came up to Bathurst with moi. It was a pretty good week. We have two investigators now:) no fireworks but one of them with the way things are going will probably end up being dropped which is a bummer. BUT we did find a super cool guy who just happens to like baseball, biking, and wrestling.. I don't like wrestling, but we have the others in common and he has a son down in Moncton who plays amateur pro baseball. Pretty cool. He believes very strongly in Christ and everything but doesn't like the churches because of what they teach. He goes to the Catholic church with his wife because she is catholic. It's weird there are so many things about this guy that make him just perfect for the gospel. So we met him Tuesday night and gave him about half of the first lesson (restoration). He has un Livre du Mormon and is reading. He asked a lot of questions when we were teaching him which is good.. so we are excited about him:)

Weather here is just phenomenal. I don't think its not rained once in the 5 weeks I've been in Bathurst haha. It's super funny because when fall comes, everyone and their dog start going into overdrive to get ready for the -45 degree winter. Every single house has a pile of wood in the garage and just outside so that they can have a fireplace to keep the house warm because I guess the heating here doesn't quite beat the cold.
Next week is transfer week. How nuts is that?? We are getting 3 new french missionaries. A Belgium, a France and a Quebecer. I'm stoked because we have been told they are all coming to the 2 French cities which means I'll be surrounded by frenchies:)

We met three people this week that I thought were interesting.. you will too.
1) A middle aged couple who don't have kids at home.. (all at college) who adopted 2 kids from somewhere in africa, I forgot the place and are foster parents for I think it was 5 other kids. We talked to them for about 30 minutes and it was the coolest thing I have ever seen. The couple are both full time teachers for the high school here and when they come home they take care of 7 kids, only 2 of them being theirs and then they take care of 3 other kids who are at college. It was incredible to me and honestly I want to be a foster parent in 45 years that'd be so cool. They also had a dog that looked like jango but entirely black. So cute.
2) We knocked a door to find a guy in some underwear who invited us in to talk to him because he has mormon friends in hawaii... hahahahahahaha
3) Last night we met a lady who does spirit healing. We still aren't sure what that is even after she explained it to us. sooooo yeah. She also hugged us before we could get away... but we didn't know so we aren't apostate. only in canada?
4) Last thing, I gave a 20 minute talk in church. I felt like an apostle. It was awesome and only a few people fell asleep (2)
uuum I think that's all. Missions are incredible, absolutely marvelous and I'd recommend it to everyone. It'll change ya.

Happy Birthday - I'm Canadian!

Today, I inducted myself into the official Canadian league of Canadians. I have eaten Putine, which is french fries with gravy, I have tried the "real" maple syrup, it's not that great. I have cut down trees like a real Canadian, and today.. the greatest of all -I was asked if I play hockey. Bam bam - I am Canadian. Oh yeah and I have used the word "eh." That word turns anything you say into a question. For example, "Wow, lovely weather today, EH?" Then the other person says, "Eh." Bienvenue - I'm a Canadian.

So this week was an interesting one.  We met a few people with some really neat/insane stories that I'm not going to share. The coolest story of the week was one that my parents did.  My bday was Wednesday. I ran out of shaving cream Thursday morning, (oops) but I had an interview with President Levitt that night and he gave me a package from my parents. Inside of that package was some more shaving cream. Mom, dad, you guys saved my mission obedience.

                                                       Cody opening his birthday cereal

Ok, my story of the week is one of heroism. Saturday, the branch president asked us to help him and another member chop down a few massive trees for a member in Camelton. It took literaly the whole day and man do I have a whole new appreciation for lumberjacks. So our branch president, President Morais, is a literal gorilla. He is 65 years old and he climbed up a 40 foot tree by hugging the bottom and like scooting his way up because the branches were all at the top. If we cut it down with a rope pulling to a certain side, it would land on the house. He climbed this tree in about 15 seconds. Not only would that be incredible for a professional tree climber, but this guy is 65 years old. During this experience of cutting big trees down, someone got hurt:( It was my camera. I had it in my pocket and it got smashed by somthing:/ The place we went to cut trees down was in camelton which is right next to Quebec. Top 3 most beautiful places I've ever seen. It's a big ocean bay with rolling hills, a dormant volcano, and millions of trees with all sorts of colors. Couldn't take any pictures though:( I haven't mentioned this in the past, but something about canadians is.. they drink and buy milk in gallon bags.. like plastic bags. Things are starting to pick up here in Bathurst a little though! We finally found some people who want to learn more! We have an appointment this Tuesday with a young couple with no kids. It'll be great. Oh yeah, today we went to Tim Hortons, which is Starbucks but way better. They sell good sandwhiches. And a couple of older guys came up to us and asked us if we were professional hockey players hahaha.. I guess they dress in suits all the time.

Well fam, its thanksgiving here. I bore my testimony in front of all 17 people at our church about how much i love you guys and I constantly brag about how talented you all are. I have parents that look and act 30, a brother who is a genius, a sister who runs slow;) and a little brother who is already smarter than all of us with anything technology. So love ya'll.
With my interview with the president, he told me that in the next few transfers we are getting 5 new French speakers. thats double what we have now. That means a lot of new zones will be opening up. 3 come this next transfer, one from France, Belgium and Quebec. He told me to get ready and study French every second of the day because the French Training leader is leaving to be a zone leader soon and I need to speak French the best I can when that time comes.. He also told me, I will most likely be paired up with one of the new French speakers because they don't speak any English and because my companion is English called and will be finishing his mission in an English area. So get ready for the stress level to raise!

In Alma 60: Moroni is angry at Pahoran because his soldiers aren't getting the supplies they need while they protect the Nephites from destruction. There are two lessons in this Chapter that I have noticed so far.
1) you never know what people are going through so don't judge/criticize people ever. The spirit of contention is the spirit of the devil. Moroni destroys Pahoran in a letter, later to find out that Pahoran has been kicked out of his own city by some revolts.
2) in verse 11 it reads--

11) Behold, could ye suppose that ye could sit upon your thrones, and because of the exceeding goodness of God ye could do nothing and he would deliver you? Behold, if ye have supposed this ye have supposed in vain.

Don't sit on your throne and think you can do nothing and all your problems will go away. There is a cool story in the movie Other Side of Heaven. They are stranded on a boat and they need wind to get to the next island for this elder to teach someone. they waited for wind and it didn't come. Later one of the sailors gets the elder in a row boat and says "sometimes you got to make your own wind" and rows the elder to the very distant island.

Anywho everyone read the Book of Mormon. Go see that Meet the Mormons movie because its probably good, love one another. eat veggies
love ya

General Conference Week from the North

Well, this week has been one for the books. I'm not sure what book but it was definitely an interesting one. OK. This week we spent most of our time working with members and less actives. One of the less actives we have been meeting with is the most jacked man I have seen and ever will see in my life. He looks like the actor from the movies, The pacifier and Fast and Furious. You know the bald guy - I forgot his name. Alright so anyways, he is huge, bald, and super cool. He is currently waiting for clearance to be a Paramedic and Fire fighter because he blew out his knee and shoulder a while back doing police training. He wasn't able to come to conference at the church this week because he was sick, but he has said he wants to come back to church. Our other less active that we taught a few times this week is also incredible. He hasn't been to church for I'm not even sure how long, but he came again the first few days I was here AND he came to General Conference at the church:) He is struggling with poverty right now and he lives all alone.. His family is all Jehovah Witnesses and he told us a story that happened recently. Before he started talking to us and coming to church again, his brother would tell him about his view of other churches and his brother doesn't know that he has started to come back to church again. His brother recently started asking questions about our beliefs. Because he came back to church less then two weeks ago, he was able to answer his brother's questions, which he hasn't been able to do ever in his life. He is starting to do Missionary work!!!!

Something funny happened this week as well. After spending the entire day in Moncton, an area that is closed now for zone training. We came back to Bathurst and got some Mcdonalds:) It was amazing. I love Mcdonalds. It is so much better than my cooking.  So anyways we were there and a group of girls in maybe low 20's, late teens kind of stalked us while we were there. We then left to do some knocking and we ran into them again. They followed us. hahaha.

My scripture of the week is Heleman 5
Nephi and Lehi, the sons of Heleman are imprisoned and are about to be killed, but in (verse 23) Encircled about as if by fire, the guards feared that they would be burned if they touched them. Then all this crazy stuff starts happening like walls started shaking because of the power they had.
28) And it came to pass that they were overshadowed with a cloud of darkness, and an awful solemn fear came upon them.
29)And it came to pass that there came a voice as if it were above the cloud of darkness, saying: Repent ye, repent ye, and seek no more to destroy my servants whom I have sent unto you to declare good tidings.
30) And it came to pass when they heard this voice, and beheld that it was not a voice of thunder, neither was it a voice of a great tumultuous noise, but behold it was a still voice of perfect mildness, as if it had been a whisper, and it did pierce even to the very soul-
Verse 30 shocked me when I read this. The scriptures teach that God is the same now as he was in the past and he will be the same forever, but for some reason I always thought that when God spoke to people in the Nephite times that it was not by the spirit. Verse 30 describes the Holy Ghost, who spoke to these guards who were about to try to kill Nephi and Lehi. Heavenly Father uses the same ways to communicate with us now, as he did before. Don't ignore the feelings or thoughts you get from the spirit. It's God trying to tell you something.

Love ya'll bunches, passez un bonne semain! Mangez vos l'egumes!

Bathurst Boyee

All I can say about this week is WOW. At the beginning of the week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc., I was in Tracadie-Sheila. We were having potentials and new investigators start to pop up like crazy! There was a road that we found three new investigators on! But, I left Thursday night for Bathurst so I wont be teaching them. In Bathurst though, we have a chapel. It is small and we have about 40 members give or take a few. One of the members is a RM from Toronto. His name is Chad Pitre and while in Toronto, his zone leader was Brock Beyer (Carson and Cayden Beyers older bro hahaha - small world) Bathurst is one of the coolest places in the world. There is a huge bay that freezes over in the winter. There are hundreds of little creeks that everyone builds houses around. All the leaves are different colors and there is a MCDONALDS! And it's Bilingual. Which is weird...  not everyone speaks both languages, its either you speak French or English. They understand each other but they can't speak the other language. So it's like,
"Ca-Va?"
"Yep I'm good how bout you"
"ca-va bien"
And then continue on in a full conversation with two different languages..
So wierd to listen to hahah.. Alrighty this weeks events are lengthy, so prepare yourself... To start it off, I've been struggling a bit lately. This learning a language thing, getting doors shut on you, being looked at weird, getting yelled at, is really different than Utah. I've been working as hard as I could, but I felt like something was still wrong... So Last Thursday, I started the 40 day fast. I read about it in a talk that Elder Waldie gave me. You start by fasting from food or water for 24 hours, the typical fast. Whenever you think about something that destracts you from the work, for instance: cars, home etc, you write it in a notebook. My list is long. At the end of the 24 hours, you promise to do your best to stop thinking about those things you have written down and replace them with thoughts of how to work in the field to in turn become the best missionary you can be. Honestly I was praying like crazy that this would work and after just 4 days I have changed into a whole new person. I have been able to connect with people, speak French better, and I'm not kidding, I am only thinking about cars when I see one outside of someones house and talk to them about it and then introduce the gospel. It has helped TREMENDOUSLY. I didn't think I could be any happier of a person but holy goodness I'm like one happy thing happening away from tears all the time! Now the past few days I've met a couple funny people and we now we have a few potentials:)

Here is a quote by C.S. Lewis,

"It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible Gods and Goddesses, to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you talk to may be a creature.. you would be strongly tempted to worship... There are NO ordinary people."

I took that out of a talk I read this week at a BYU address. I have that written in my planner now and It is so true. Think of all the people we walk by everyday, all the people who we constantly are judging, oh that person does this or that person did that. Remember you are judging someone who is a potential God, just like you. After you remember, then stop.

Love you all dearly, especially Jango

FIRST TRANSFER

Well this week has been quite eventful. Tuesday morning I was throwing up so we weren't able to go tracting until later that night, when I was going on exchanges in an English territory because my companions had Leadership council. It is so much easier in English holy cow.. I was in Mirimichi (english) for that night and the next day and that is when I had my first Dinner apointment! YAY. Last week we lost our only investigator and we were all really bummed.. she had a baptismal date and everything for her whole family but for reasons unknown, dropped us. I think I talked about it last week. So we were all really sad. The NEXT day however, we met with the basketball coach who has known us for a while. He agreed to start having discussions and he seemed really interested. Its amazing because he is catholic, but doesn't believe in his church. He has his own ideas about church and how things should be and its like just listening to someone describe the LDS church. He hates all things drugs which most people old or young here are addicted to, he has personal prayers every night and I don't even remember what else he does. Amazing though. We also met a lady by the name of Michelle too. She is practically the same and we have met with her twice now. So after losing one investigator, we have two:) We have been able to work all over the Acadian Penisula, including Shippigan, Caraquette, Tracadie, and Neguac. They are all super awesome. It's like Thick foresty stuff in Neguac and then the ocean and a beach. Shippigan is I  think a tiny little island with a bridge to it. I can't remember if I'm thinking of the right place... but its kind of miserable. I don't know why anyone would live there (hahaaha.. ) Caraquette we went to yesterday. It is the most beautiful place I've ever seen. It's farm land and cliff coastlines. Amazing. The people there are super nice too and there is a lot of them. For population wise, not really but in comparison to Tracadie there are a lot. We contacted 41 people in two hours. That sounds bad, but there just aren't that many people here so it's actually really good.

Transfers.. :)
Well I got to spend about 3 weeks in Tracadie-Sheila, a beautiful little town where the people drive up and down, literally just up and down, a road all day everyday. It has been amazing. My companions Elder Waldie and Elder Erickson have been awesome. Elder Waldie is going to be a zone leader in some English speaking place, Elder Erickson is the new district leader and also the ONLY french training leader. I am going to Bathurst, which is completely bilingual, french and english. It will be interesting. I leave on Thursday.
Weather
It's a bit like Utah with like 12 different storms in one day... but it just happens way more often. A few days ago it was 2 degrees celcius and today it is about 20.. so its up and down. But all the people here are really scared for winter because it's too cold already. It's usually high single digets. A lot of the trees have frost bite (haha) and the leafs have black spots. It rains like every other day too which is interesting. Elder Waldie gave me one of his jackets, its massive. Like the jackets that go to your shins. So now I don't have to buy a $300 one:)
Our investigator Stephen, the bball coach, is really sad we are leaving so he is taking us out to dinner after his kids' soccer game tomorrow. We have been playing football with him on saturdays for a few months so he loves missionaries.
Spiritual thought
I'm reading through the BoM again, like everyone should. I read through a few chapters of Alma this morning and Alma 31 stuck out a lot.
It's everyones duty to fix the world. We have the cure and we aren't sick, it is wrong not to share it. Each member of our church is a REPRESENTATIVE of Jesus Christ. We are here to help people find the straight and narrow. Some people need more work than others but you never know how close they are. I compare it to water freezing, Some people are 33 degrees and just need that extra push to freeze others could be 50. Be good everyone, somebody is always watching you, so be a good example. much love and stuff <3
