Do You Wanna Teach A Snowman?

Heyo everybody,

This week was a roller coaster. It was a really fun one though, even better than lagoon. So we have 6 investigators... WOO WOO! which is nuts because just a few weeks ago... 0.

So, the Bathurst area is still really wierd and confusing because sometimes you speak english... and others french and sometimes you speak both in the same conversation hahaha..

Fun stuff.... But lots of funny experiences. We had zone conference this week and we got to make the 3 hour voyage all the way down to Moncton. We listened to a lot of motab. It was great. I would have never thought ever in my life that you can get just absolutely amped by a choir but you can. especially the song, "Call of the Champions." It's the Bathurst district theme song. So the neat thing about this drive is that there was this insane fog, like can't see farther than 10 feet in front of the truck fog. This is dangerous stuff. Canada isn't full of big cities everywhere, it's just trees and moose. Literally. And if you hit a moose your entire car/truck/trailer/camper/tank is crushed. LITERALLY. I saw a camper that hit a moose and it looked like an explosion on the side of the road... the moose was dead but he didn't explode he just was kind of there next to the explosion. So yeah that was really sketchy driving through woods not knowing if there was a 2000 lb moose in front of you.

Another day(Saturday) we went up to a place called Belledune. It's basically a highway with houses on the side. We knocked all day with no luck and the last house we knocked (of course) was this guy who works in Labrador ( just north and just snow). He talked to us for about a half hour about how he has already read the Book of Mormon and all this stuff. He wasn't interested at all.  But then he offered us a ride back to our truck a few miles back which was weird and awesome. Later that night we knocked into 2 guys: Father and son. The father just lost his wife last week (71 years old) and the son is like 40ish. They let us in and talked about the catholic beliefs for 15 minutes and then something just sort of switched. We gave them really simplified versions and pieces of each of the 3 lessons and they became super open and they agreed with ever single principle. It was amazing. So we will be seeing them Tomorrow:)

NOW, something great. One of our investigators, came to church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have taught her for just a week and she came! She brought her 10 year old son and the branch just did incredible. They were talking to her and including her the whole time it was amazing. That is the first investigator that the branch has had attend church in months!!!! WOOOOO. Yeah we are stoked about that.

Matthew 10:16
Christ when he is talking to the apostles about sending them off to work... pretty cool, he didn't say go and you will be successful and baptize 9,204,892 people.

"Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves"

Je vous aime tous! passez un bonne semain! oh yeah.. forgot to take pics this week cuz it's cold so here is an emailing selfie. Don't mind the clothes, we didn't have time to change out of our service stuff.
