Temple Trip and AP - WOW!

Hi everyone! Last week we had a ray of sunshine in our 7 days of finding haha.. We went and stopped by a former who dropped us a few weeks ago and talked to him for a minute, then we asked him for a referral and he said to go visit this house down the street! So we strolled on over in the freezing rain, knocked on the door, talked to the guy that answered for like 10 minutes and then he said, "Come on in guys!" So we sat down and taught him the restoration. He is a sweet dude! He has a few kids, only two still at home and was a firefighter for 12 years. He was asking us all these super obscure questions about the twelve tribes of israel and stuff for a while, but he agreed with everything and wanted desperately to meet the apostles and the prophet! Obviously thats a difficult task out here in Nova Scotia, but the intention is there. We came back the next day and continued teaching him about the book of Mormon and when he had finished the lesson we were out the door and then the Salt Lake Temple showed up on his tv. Elder Thompson and I were mind blown and then Patrick was like, "This always happens, it's probably my answer." It was pretty epic and a little strange.

We had a crazy week last week though. Thursday we were in Halifax for exchanges all day, and Saturday we were in Halifax with the YSA for the temple trip. It was sweet, here's a fun story for you...

Steven, our Chinese convert from Ontario, had his interview to go to the temple and then his records finally got transferred over and we found out he didn't have the priesthood... so there was a last minute "oh crap" moment. After a lot of phone calls and a great bishops help we were able to get him the priesthood so he could go to the temple! It was sweet! He loved it there as well, next time he wants to try baptizing people. After that we drove to Dalhousie University because there was a Mormon Tabernacle sing a long concert. That was long haha.. Those musical things are just a little too much for me. Steven was on the same boat, he fell asleep haha..

Sunday I got sniffed by a member from toe to head.. that was an interesting experience... The church is scent free here, and someone said I was wearing stuff so they tested me.. of course I passed, just a fun experience of getting smelled though hahaha

Yesterday we got transfer letters, but Monday President Pratt gave us a call to tell us what was happening.. I'm going to the ole hunting grounds of my fore fathers Elder Erickson and Elder Waldie in Halifax. It'll be sweet to be in a big city with a big university again. Odds are this will be my last area unless something insane happens. My new comp is Elder Hansen from Mapleton Utah, same place as elder Allsop! He played baseball and football, so we should get a long pretty well;)

My new address you can just use the mission office, It's literally a 5 minute drive and I'll be there pretty often.

Je vous aime tous comme les pomplemousses

p.s. Sorry mom and dad this week will be nuts! My pday is on Wednesday because of transfers... but President called me and I'm getting transferred to Halifax.. I will be the new assistant to the president. I don't know my address but I will let you know on Wednesday.
