Hi everyone! This week has been pretty awesome. We still haven't found an investigator, but we met with tons of less actives all week and a few of them expressed that they were thinking about missions.. WOO! so we are working to get them to the temple, because President Pratt has given us permission to organize a YSA temple trip and be in the transfer van.. It'd be pretty awesome.
Other good news... YAN GOT BAPTIZED! I wasn't there for it (obviously) but I talked to Elder Allsop as well as him and he said, "I think I made a mistake... I should have done this the first time you asked!" So yay for Yan:) Elder Allsop baptized him and Elder Evans (the man who replaced Iacopucci and I) did the confirmation. I don't have pics yet, but Elder Allsop will be sending them to me:)
Last Wednesday we had the zone training down in Cole Harbor, which is where the temple is btw, and it went pretty well. We trained on working with members and had everyone arm wrestle their companion. Whoever won would get a prize and you could win as many times as you want.. Only one companionship caught on and just mutually agreed to slam each others hands on the table over and over so they could get the most prizes.. we compared it to working with members, we both have the same goal, to win, but we often work against each other.
The reason the email is late today is because we went on a hike this morning.. so I got y'all some pictures of the scenery so you can stop your complaints ;)
Other news.. it's been warm all week. always around 0, so all the snow is melted and the grass is actually turning green hahaha.. it's like utah weather! but humid..
Fun story for you all... The elder who was here before I arrived crashed the suby.. last week we were parked on the side of the road and the car just turned off haha... Well ole suby now has the check engine light on.. so shes a struggling bear right now... :'(
The mission rocks, you rock, the plan rocks and dogs rock.
p.s. one of the members we work with here speaks French.. so I get to throw a few words in here n there...
