Last week was fun. We had a zone conference where I met President Pratt and Sister Pratt, they are definitely in the right place. I was asked to give a talk on our purpose as missionaries which even though it was only fiftyish missionaries I was nervous.
I spent the next few days with Elder Raveneau from Southern France. He is getting trained by my son Elder Portellano in Bathurst but I got a chance to be with him. It was really interesting. We taught a few lessons, but all of them turned out to be people lying in wait to bash which was a bit sad, but man oh man how blessed we are to have the knowledge we have let me just tell you.
We had a really amazing lesson last week with our investigator couple. The boyfriend had an awesome change of heart. He said "It was stupid of me to say I would stay Catholic because my family is Catholic. If I get an answer I'd have to do the switch." This week we will be doing all we can to get them to come to church, hopefully something happens to 10 Catholic churchs down the street and they don't need their organist hahaha :)
Something neat I noticed in my study last week. I remembered the scripture where Christ says he will destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days. Our bodies are temples, when he died and was resurrected, he did exactly what he had prophesied, and because of it we all will be "rebuilt" into immortality and eternal life as temples of God, each being consecrated to the work, just as temples today are solely used for the works of salvation. I will be studying more about consecration this next week. I'd encourage each of you as well:)
We get transfer letters this week, and I will find out if Elder Darche and I will remain together in Dieppe for a 5th transfer. So if you were planning on sending something, you should wait:)
