As I said in the previous email, we were without our car until Friday afternoon last week and man oh man was that a blessing in disguise. So we have 2 parts in our area that were within 15 km from our apartment. University of Moncton (French university full of africans who are french) and then Dieppe. We spent most of our time, near the University either knocking, street contacting or visiting Less actives. We found a pretty extreme number of Potential investigators because we had to walk everywhere. In the past three transfers in Dieppe we had found probably 15 or 20 in total that had become potentials, but in 3 days we found 11 last week. It was amazing. So I passed the word down to the other missionaries that cars are a curse and now there are specific days where my district will not be driving unless it's for an appointment. Another companionship tried it twice last week, and they had similar success! That was one of our tiny miracles. We taught a very cool Muslim man this week as well(Most of the students at Moncton University are Muslim) named Abdoulaye. It is was very cool to learn exactly what they believe about God. For them, he is extremely sacred, but they do not have a father/son relationship with him, nor do they believe in anything like it. How blessed we are to know that our God is our literal heavenly father, he loves us, he cares for us, and all we do here on Earth is learning to be like him if we use our agency to the best of our abilities. In the best hymn ever (souvien-toi) in the french hymn book the last verse talks about the pre mortal life and our divine heritage, a part that has stuck out to me this past week in Elder Argyle translation is "Then one day we chose to accept from our Lord the great plan of life, that night, my child, we promised by love, by faith, to be reunited." its way way more beautiful in French, but the message is the same.
Pictures: Samuel Boudreau and I dressed in white.. very cool experience.. he was baptized twice hahaha... #defendthetradition
Some of our members who served missions (we had a ward RM night) it was very cool.. they all served pretty not so cool places.. (Hawaii, New Zealand, BC, Arizona) .. as in very warm compared to here.
We saw a massive rat.. literally the size of a duck, We walked by the Stadium that the womans fifa world cup is in like 10 times (its at the university) and the bridge with a couple of locks on it because we want to be french here!
je vous aime :) :) bonne semaine!
